Bubbles!!

Nicolas loves bubbles!! We were playing out in the backyard and he was having a blast. The NC spring weather is finally here and we are love playing outside after dinner.

After a long day at daycare, Nic likes to put up his feet and relax. It is hard being a toddler.

Later!

I heart faces-smile

This is an oldie but a goodie. Nicolas, Leo and I went to Miami for Christmas vacation and this was one of my favorites. This is the first time Leo tossed Nicolas in the air and he loved it! His face is priceless.

My Breastfeeding Experience (Not Photography Related)

I follow this blog, http://simplegiftstories.blogspot.com/. It is a blog where different moms write about their breastfeeding experience good or bad, short or long. I finally got around to writing my story and it is posted on this blog. If you want to read it click here. Nic and I had a great run, 13.5 months! I hope you enjoy it.

Photo GTG

My mommy group and I got together to practice our photography skills. Our models were great! No temper tantrums...woohoo. It was a beautiful day for pictures, overcast and about 70 degrees.

Nic and Jack were interested in the fishes just below this retaining wall.

Nicolas is starting to run and he loved to be free! He had a great time with all his friends.

Nic loves to pick up sticks and rocks but this time he was exploring this flower bud.

That is not chocolate or food around his mouth it is dirt. This is the true sign of a boy!

To see more pics go to http://picasaweb.google.com/nataliasanc/AprilPhotoGTG?feat=directlink. The first 50 are mine and the rest are of the other mom's in the group.

More to come!

I Heart Faces-Collages

This is my first entry! My little boy loves his Mac and Cheese but lately he is more interested in playing with it then eating it. He is silly and loves to make me smile.

Purple and Orange

This was a small tulip patch in DC. The tulips in NC are dead already and these caught my eye. The purple was really vibrant and it felt like spring.
This was the view from above.
These pink/yellow/orange flowers were beautiful. While Nicolas was playing in the playground I took some pictures of these flowers. The colors were so bright and unique. I took these w/ my 50-250mm lens. I did not know that lens could take such good macro shots.

I hope you are having a colorful spring!

Last DC set of pics

Here are the last cool pics from DC. The last two are not as cool as my subway shots but I still like them.

I believe this shot was at Union Station. I love the texture of the ceiling and the symmetry of the escalators.
This a wide angle shot of Capitol Hill. I think the picture would have been awesome if the stupid lamp post would not have been there. Picasa's does not clone out stuff very well so I left it. Maybe when I learn photoshop.

Lastly, this was a statue right outside my hotel. It reminded me of Leo, Nicolas and me.
Until the next time! I hope you enjoyed them.

More of the subway...

It was raining today so no outdoor shots so I shot some more pics of the subway.

This one was taken right before the train was arriving at the station. I love how the red lights lead me to the tunnel.

This is when the train arrived. The part I liked most was the red lights reflecting on the subway car. No major changes were done the pictures.

Hopefully tomorrow I will have a different subject. But so far these have been fun to photograph!

Pollen and Eyes

NC has been battling with the worst pollen season in many many years. This picture represents what we are experiencing. Rain is coming today so maybe the pollen will be less tomorrow.
These are Nicolas' beautiful eyes. I have been trying to nail focus in his eyes and I think I finally succeded. His eyes are sharp and there are catchlights! While his eyes are beautiful, they are very hard to photograph since they are so dark. These two pictures are not the best but they really show off Nicolas' eyes.

Please pardon the dirty mach and cheese mouth and cheeks.
